Kazakhmys is an international company operating in Kazakhstan, Germany and the UK and is active in mining, processing, smelting, refining and sale of copper and copper products, including cathodes and rods.

As by-products, the company, together with its subsidiaries in Kazakhstan and Germany, also processes, refines and sells zinc, gold and silver. Kazakhmys Copper Corporation is the tenth largest refined copper producer and the tenth largest mined copper producer in the world based on 2004 production. 

A network of over 40 systems is made up entirely of Tadiran’s Coral systems. A hub of networked Coral FlexiCom 6000 systems provides communications to the corporate center and other facilities using QSIG.

The remote mines are connected to the central hub via satellite links. Tadiran's solution for the mining industry includes the rugged design of the system cabinets, which obviates the need for special casing, and the special telephones with international mining standards certification.
