The Wave Gateway allows customers with existing Coral systems to upgrade to the Sea Softswitch system while keeping virtually all existing trunk and station equipment. The migration path from Coral IPx / FlexiCom  to the Wave Gateway allows users to retain the same telephony functionality they had as Coral IPx / FlexiCom users. Via the Wave Gateway, the Sea Softswitch seamlessly supports digital trunks and keysets, analog trunks and SLT equipment, and legacy IP equipment. At new sites, Wave Gateways can be installed to connect non-IP stations and trunks to the Sea Softswitch.

By migrating, customers can apply all the features and benefits of the Sea Softswitch to their Wave Gateway stations and trunks, including:

• Multi-site, robust data network with central management
• Mission-critical, distributed system with network redundancy and disaster recovery
• Centralized control through web-based unified system administration
• Scalable equipment expansion or relocation
• Mobility support including FlexiCall, Callback, and Call-through
